There are 128 seats available for BDes at NID Ahmedabad. Seat allocation is done based on performance in accepted exam and selection round. The seats are reserved discipline-wise as follows:

The four-year Bachelor of Design (BDes) programme is offered in four specialisations, I.e., Communication Design, Foundation Programme, Industrial Design and Textile, Apparel, Lifestyle & Accessory Design. Communication Design has four disciplines: Film And Video Communication, Exhibition Design, Animation Film Design and Graphic Design.

The overall cutoff for NID and UID is about 41 marks last year but it can change year to year so it would be advisable to check Admissions criteria, including cutoff marks in the official website of UID Ahmedabad or contact the university directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information on admission requirements and cutoff marks for the B.Des program.

The eligibility criteria for BDes (Humanising Technology) course at NMIMS School of Design is that candidate should have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination in any stream and should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised Board. International Baccalaureate Diploma (I.B. certificate / & D.P. awarded candidates) are eligible only if they have cleared their I.B. exam with a total of 24 credits (compulsory) and passed 3 H.L. & 3 S.L. mandatorily.

Yes, candidates need to score relevant marks in the UPES School of Design entrance exam, UPESDAT, to be admitted to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme at UPES. Candidates can also have a relevant score in national-level exams like JEE/CUET, NID/NIFT/UCEED/NIFT Entrance Exam, and others.
Candidates must also have at least 50% aggregate in Class 12 and 50% marks in Class 10th. The selection process for B.Des also includes a portfolio presentation and interview.
