The selection to BDes courses is based on Pearl Academy Entrance Exam that, includes GPT- General Proficiency Test and DAT- Design Aptitude Test. The entrance exam is followed by a personal interview round and portfolio presentation.

It has a great infrastructure and is equipped with great facilities, well-equipped design studios, a well-stocked library, computer labs etc. It has been ranked 16 for Fashion Design by Outlook in 2019 and holds a good placement record as well. NIFT Kannur offers a BDes programme with a duration of four years in four specialisations. Candidates are required to appear for NIFT Entrance Exam and are accepted on the basis of merit.
