B.Des

IDC is offering a four year, eight semester Bachelor of Design (B. Des) programme and a five year, ten semester dual degree B. Des + M.Des programme. However, the option of doing the dual degree, B. Des + M.Des will be available only at the end of the 3rd year. Both these programmes would be credit - based and thus offer the flexibility to progress at one's own pace. A minimum level of performance is essential for satisfactory progress. The medium of instruction is English. The B. Des courses are available in the following specializations as Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, Animation and Mobility and Vehicle Design. The admission in IDC IIT-B in B. Des courses are based on the ranks obtained in UCEED entrance exam. The eligibility criteria of UCEED is 10+2 and conducted in the month of January every year.

There are two ways for getting admission in CIT Kokrajhar for B.Des course as under.
1. Through CITBDAT : This is conducted by CIT and the eligibility criteria is given below.
Educational Qualification- Candidates must have cleared HSLC or equivalent with 40% marks in aggregate and 40% of marks in Science, Mathematics (or advanced Mathematics) and English taken together. (5% relaxation for ST/SC/PWD candidates).
2. UCEED : Conducted by IIT Bombay and the eligibility criteria is as under.
Eligibility criteria : HSC exam/10+2 board exam in the year 2020. Students who will appear in the 10+2 board exam in the year 2021 are also eligible to apply for the admission under UCEED in following disciplines - Science stream without Maths or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities.
So if you wants admission through UCEED than you needs to passed 12th in any stream, while CITBDAT needs Science streams with Mathematics at 12th level.
