Footwear Design and Development Institute Chennai BDes admission criteria is as follows:
- Class 12 in any stream from any recognised board or any School/ Board/ University examination in India or in foreign country recognised by the AIU as an equivalent to Class 12 system (OR)
- Studetns who have passed School Examination conducted by the National Open School with at least five subjects; or AICTE)approved three-years full time Diploma after Class 10 offered by Board of Technical Education of any state or Union Territory can also apply
- Students must appear for the institute-level test (AIST) for final selection
