Hi Sandeep,
Yes, you can do that. University Grants Commission (UGC) approved that a student can pursue two degrees at the same time but not as a regular student. The rule says "One degree as a regular student and another degree through open/distance learning". So, you can pursue one regular degree from a university of your choice and another one from an open university i.e. IGNOU, VMOU, etc.

Hi Arbashi,
For REI, Ajmer for BA and B.Ed course, students must belong to Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Chandigarh. So, you can't apply for REI-Ajmer, but you can apply for RIE-Bhubaneswar and RIE-Shillong.

B.El.Ed stands for Bachelor of Elementary Education. It is a 4-year integrated professional degree programme of elementary teacher education. It is a full-time graduate course, not available under distance or correspondence as of 2011. The eligibility of this course is a minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the 10+2 level. I think you can do B.Ed through distance so that you can work along with your studies. And you don't want to attend regular class for that. They will provide study materials and you can just attend the examination only. They will inform you about your examination dates. You can search on google about these distance learning programmes.

For a teacher to teach in any school, it is necessary to have B.Ed. According to my opinion, B.Tech+M.Tech didn't have any relation with B.Ed because I have a friend who is pursuing MA English now and her course will get over this year. Yes, BBA students are eligible to pursue B.Ed course. The basic qualification needed is a graduation in any stream. The applicant must have done their graduation from a recognized institute with minimum of 50% of marks and 5% relaxation is given for SC and ST candidates.

B.Ed course can be pursued through full time, correspondence or distance learning by various universities throughout the country. In full time B.Ed regular class you have to attend.

Yes, of course but my suggestion is to go for MA because it will provide eligibility for NET and SLET examination. You will have the opportunity to become an assistant professor in a government college. B.Ed will make you eligible to write TET. If you're aspiring to become a school teacher then pursue B.Ed.
