B.P.Ed Eligibility

For admission in B.P.Ed, you need to have must have one of the following qualifications:
Must be a graduate in physical education with minimum 50% marks
Or
Graduate with physical education as a major subject and secured at least 50% marks
Or
Graduate with at least 50% marks, having represented State/ University in sports/games/athletics
Or
Graduate with minimum 50% marks, who represented in inter-collegiate sports/games tournaments or passed basic course in adventure sports/
Or
Graduate and secured minimum 50% marks with 'C' certificate in NCC
Or
Those who are position holders (1st, 2nd or 3rd) in State level sports/ games and have participated in the National level sports/games and secured minimum 45% marks in graduation shall be eligible to apply for the course
And
Must have attained the age criteria before the first day of the October of the year.However 1 year age relaxation will be made on the basis of individual merits by the Vice Chancellor University of Delhi through the Principal of the college concerned.

For applying to B.P.Ed you need to be maximum 25 years of age. You must have completed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the
Inter-College/ Inter-Zonal/ District/ School competition in Sports and games as recognized by the AIU/ IOA/ SGFI/ Govt. of India or
Bachelor degree in Physical Education with 45% marks Or
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied Physical Education as compulsory/elective subject or
Bachelor's Degree with 45% marks and having participated in National or State or Inter-University competition or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in Inter College/ Inter-Zonal/ District/ School competition in Sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India Or
Bachelor's Degree with participation in International competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in National/ Inter-University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations/AIU/ IOA/ SGFI/ Govt. of India Or
Graduate with 45% marks and 3 years of teaching experience.

The eligibility criterion to enter this course is having passed 10+2 examination successfully with minimum 50% marks from any stream. The preference in some universities is given to candidates who are from sports background. There is a physical efficiency test, a written test and a personal interview on the basis of which the person is selected.
Written Test:
Physical efficiency test (Long Jump, Vaulting Horse, Trench, Hurdle).
Personal Interview:
However, there are some universities which take admission on the basis of cut-off marks which are decided after the result of 10+2 examination. The cut-off marks are released and students who fulfil the eligibility can opt for the admission, but I think you should not go for B.P.Ed. Account (Hons) has a much better scope.

There are 2 levels at which Bachelor of Physical Education course is offered which are as below:
- B.P.Ed 1 year course
- B.P.Ed 3-4 year course
B. P. Ed 1 year course: B.P.Ed with 1 year course requires a pass degree in Graduation with at least 50% marks along with participation in sports. The participation must be within the last three years of admission year. Age of the candidate should not be more than 25 years. Admissions are done through an entrance examination. Both men and women are eligible for admission. However, in most institutes, married women are not eligible for admission to this course. B.P.Ed 3-4 year course: B.P.Ed with 3-4 years requires a candidate to have passed 10+2 degree from a recognised board in any stream.
