Yes, students who have passed from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) are eligible for admission to pharmacy courses like B.Pharma and D.Pharma. This is subject to meeting the other requirements of the Pharmacy Act, 1948. 

Explanation

In June 2015, the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) approved the eligibility of NIOS students for pharmacy courses. 

The PCI's decision was made with the goal of promoting skill development in the country. 

The PCI also recommended that students who have passed or are studying pharmacy courses from open schools be eligible for registration as pharmacists.

The minimum eligibility requirement at SPTM Shirpur -NMIMS for B.Pharm:

Lateral Entry (Direct Second-Year Admission): Students who already possess D.Pharm. (Diploma in Pharmacy) from an institution recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) may gain access to the B.Pharm programme by means of lateral entry.

In certain cases, students with a high academic record in 10+2 or equivalent may be able to avoid the NMIMS CET exam, but this is dependent on university policy.

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India u/s 12 of The Pharmacy Act, securing a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate can apply for the course can apply for AKTU BPharm course. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

The Neotia University BPharma admission is subject to fulfilment of the preset eligibility criteria. The university provided regular and lateral entry admission to BPharm. Aspirants must fulfil the below-given eligibility criteria and present the required documents to support their eligibility:

  • BPharm (Regular Entry): Applicants must have scored a minimum of 60% in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics
  • BPharm (Lateral Entry): Applicants must have scored aminimum of 60% in PCI-approved DPharm + Internship of 500 hours (in at least 90 days) after the Diploma

Common University Entrance Test Scores for B.Pharma Admission Every university or college has different marks for CUET scores for taking admission to a specific course. General cut-off range for B.Pharma programs of various colleges could be 50% to 70% CUET scores as well as beyond, based upon the demand from the programme along with the amount of students coming for admission into the same. Each university may decide its specific cut-off depending upon the available seat, competition, and various academic requirements at their end. The candidates having completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics will now be eligible for admission to B.Pharma at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Apeejay Stya University.

The minimum marks required are 50 percent in aggregate in the above-mentioned subjects. Furthermore, any student from a recognised board or possesses an equivalent certificate may apply. The eligibility criteria for admission to Bachelor in Pharmacy at T. John Group of Institutions include that candidates must complete their Class 12 with a minimum of 40% in PCB/ PCM/ PC with Computer Science/ PC with Electronics (5% relaxation has been given to reserved category candidates.
