For B.Sc in chemistry, maths is not a necessary requirement. You can apply via PCB background as well.

Before choosing any of the streams, first of all, know about your interest and passion. When it comes to B.Sc in any subject, it's of no importance without doing M.Sc and Ph.D. in that particular subject in today's scenario. Being a biotechnology student, I can explain to you in the easiest way.

Hello Neelima,
Oonce you complete your post-graduation from Science stream then you will be eligible to appear for the CSIR NET not UGC NET.
Don't worry if you heard CSIR NET for the first time. It is the exam which is conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) with the same aim as UGC NET.
But the little difference between these two exam is that UGC NET is conducted for non-Science stream in more than 80 subjects and CSIR NET exam is conducted only for Science stream, only in 5 subjects.
As per your plans if you complete your M.Sc. from Chemistry then you can appear for CSIR NET in Chemical Science.
