There is scope in both course, but in different fields. The demand of both courses is high in Government sectors. Forest Rangers, Wildlife workers are usually B.Sc Forestry graduates. And, Agriculture Officers in banks, Irrigation departments etc. are usually B.Sc Agriculture graduates. Private sector also provides career to students, but mainly in Seeds and Fertilizer industries. So, scope is actually very enormous in both courses. But, try to choose a good college. Attempt AIEEA-UG exam conducted every year, it provides admission to best agriculture colleges in India.

Go for B.Sc Horticulture. There is a growing demand for all horticultural crops like vegetables, fruits, flowers, spices, aromatics and plantations throughout the world. So as the technical persons with good basic knowledge in horticulture must be needed throughout the world.

The public sector jobs includes work in zoological parks, wildlife ranges, corporate having their own plantations for timbering, wildlife research institutes, Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) and its affiliated institutes, wildlife department, forest department, national parks & sanctuaries, forest nurseries.
