If final year subject is Microbiology, you can do M.Sc in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Life science, Biotech, etc.
If Zoology, then you can do masters in Life sciences, Zoology, Marine sciences, etc.

As per your query, after doing B.Sc, you have better idea about the stream that you had selected & there is more chance of research work as well as enhancing the skills.
