I think B.Com and B.Sc both are very good courses but main matter is that in which subject you are interested.
The main advantage of B.Com course is, the job opportunity for B.Com is bit high when compared to B.Sc.

Yes, you can join IAF through these methods:
1. Indian Military Academy Direct Entry (CDS):
Graduation Degree from a recognized University is required. The candidate has to be unmarried. The candidate has to appear for the CDS (Combined Defence Services) exam conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). After selection, training will be provided at IMA, Dehradun. The duration of training will be 18 month.
2. Officers Training Academy SSC Non Tech entry:
This is an SSC (Short Service Commission) entry. The selection process is the same, that is via CDS examination. The candidate has to be aged between 19 and 25 years with reference to 1st January of the year in which the course will start. Graduation from a recognized University is required. Both married and unmarried candidates may apply. After selection, a 49 weeks long training program will be provided at OTA, Chennai.
