The focus of AIISH is to impart professional training, render clinical services, conduct research and educate the public on issues related to communication disorders such as hearing impairment, mental retardation, voice, fluency and phonological and language disorders.
Moreover, the programme is designed to generate manpower that will cater to the needs of individuals with communication disorders at the grass-root level. In this programme the students are trained to identify individuals with communication disorders and make appropriate referrals for further diagnosis. The students are also trained to supervise the caregivers in following the guidelines given by professionals for rehabilitation. Extensive practical training is given to supplement the theoretical knowledge that is imparted.
On the other hand, the B.Sc (Agri) you will study subjects: agriculture science, use of modern scientific equipment and techniques in agriculture, land surveying, soil science, water resource management, animal and poultry management, basics of biotechnology etc. This program aims at combining concepts of biology, technology and Agriculture Science to boost Agricultural Productivity.
There are a lot of career options in both the government and private sector. In the government sector, State Agriculture Departments and public sector banks recruit graduates to fill up officer level posts. In private sector, you can find jobs such as managers at plantations, as officers at fertilizer manufacturing firms, agriculture machinery industries, agricultural products marketing firms, food processing units etc. The average salary range lies between 2 to 4.5 Lakh rupees/year.
