Students must pass the 10+2 or its equivalent from any recognised board (Science stream is required). Physics Chemistry and Biology should be included in their 10+2 qualification test.

No. Not at all. Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary field, emphasising mainly on key general, introductory Biology courses followed by the necessary courses in applied sciences using Biotechnology. In my opinion, there's nothing to caution yourself whether you are PCB/PCMB/PCM student. My suggestion would be to please give some time learning the definition of the word Biotechnology put into words by various international organisations, the applications of Biotechnology and its scope in India. Yes there is good campus placement in b tech biotechnology. In AMU you can take admission by giving entrance exam in this there is vast scope. You also go for higher studies in research field.

Yes you can opt B.Tech in biotechnology from so many other colleges those provide the course. JEE is only mandatory for IIT and some other I think, so you can choose other entrance of engineering or you can opt direct admission from private colleges.
