B.Tech biotechnology is far better than B.Sc biotechnology.
B.Tech Biotechnology also has good hand some pay scale. Nowadays B.Sc biotechnology is common, even if you pursue B.Sc biotechnology you may not receive good pay scale.
B.Tech Biotechnology opt only few candidates, so it is easier to get jobs.

Biotechnology is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for BE/B.Tech biotechnology graduates in private sector. Government sector too offers job opportunities, but not in the scale in which private sector does. Average starting salary is generally between 2.4 to 5 Lakh rupees per year.
Some prominent industries where biotechnology professionals may find jobs are- Pharmaceuticals Industry, Healthcare sector, Chemical Industry, Agriculture sector, Food Processing and Technology as well as Research sector. Graduates may also take up teaching job (as a lecturer) after completing ME/M.Tech programme.

The department of biotechnology was started in the year 2002 with the mission of bringing a unique combination of skills and wide range of scientific disciplines. The Department of Biotechnology has been winning the esteemed best outgoing student award consecutively since its inception in the college. The achievements of the students have allowed the college to attain national and international recognition. The Department has so far produced 52 university rank holders in B.Tech and 6 university rank holders in M.Tech (3 gold medals). The Department is consistently producing 97-100 % results in University examinations.
