The entrance tests for admission to the B Tech in Electrical Engineering course are not a cakewalk for one to crack very easily. You need to work very hard and stay dedicated, as the competition is quite cutthroat at top-ranked colleges for this course, with Lacs of students appearing for various entrance exams for B Tech EE every year. You should have very good knowledge of the PCM fundamentals of Class 11 and 12.

The level of the question paper also depends on last year's student feedback, the estimated number of applicants who've applied for the exam, and the number of seats available across colleges in India.

Every college follows a different approach, and the ones that give admission on the basis of Class 12 merit also take extra rounds like the GD or PI, for which you must check the official college websites for accurate details.

Apart from the BTech Electrical Engineering tuition fee that is approximately between INR 2 lakh and INR 15 lakh, there are extra charges as well that apply. Almost all of the popular colleges will ask you for a hostel accommodation fee if you're staying in the college hostel, an application fee at the time of admission, a semester exam fee, a lab fee, and other extra-curricular charges that may apply.

You should carefully go through the BTech EE course fee structure at your desired colleges by visiting their college websites before taking the final call for admission.
