B.Tech Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for B.E./B.Tech in Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology, Chennai are generally a pass with 50% marks for 12th (considering subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Maths) 45% for candidates of reserved category, whose parents falls under the respective reserved category. The student should have the valid entrance exam scores (decided upon by CIPET). For instance, appeared JEE Main/CIPET entrance test. 1. The eligibility criteria for the above posts include clearance of the 12th Standard examination with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved categories) on the aggregate of the Science group with subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biologist.

2. To be considered, the candidate should have a valid score in the JEE Main or the MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test). Rank and category affordable determine the score acquired in one of the entrance exams which the candidate uses to gain admission.

Though I was not able to find the exact merit list for B.E. / B.Tech programs on the official website of Pavendar Bharathidasan College of Engineering and Technology (PABCET), I could gather this much from other sites.

Possible Minimum Marks:

Some sources indicate that the minimum marks requirement in the 12th standard for any B.Tech programs are to be at 45%. This could be the case also for the other courses. Still, it should be verified.  Entrance exams:

Class 12th marks: This will be in the vicinity of minimum marks as referred.

Entrance exam scores (if applicable): PABCET may accept scores through various state or national engineering entrance exams, but clarification regarding the same is required.

Eligibility criteria for admission to B.E./B.Tech in Tamilnadu College of Engineering are: 10+2 with 50% aggregate (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and having Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational as compulsory subjects. Candidates have to appear for counselling in TNEA, which is the short form for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. Cut-off marks for admission are: General category-145-197; BC category - 133-190; MBC category - 120-175; SC/ST category - 90-155. Lateral entry scope: 50% aggregate in Diploma in any branch for general categories and 45% for other categories. Reservation: 69% for Tamil Nadu students and 31% for other states. Seats 1200 (B.E./B.Tech). Duration: 4 years (8 semesters). Intake through TNEA counselling 90%, Management quota 10%.
