This relies on several variables. Based on education, BSc IT is superior to BTech IT since it can be completed in three years. If you start a job directly after finishing your studies, you will be paid more than a regular BTech student in their fourth year.

The BSc IT curriculum is also in line with what businesses need. The drawback is that a BTech IT fresher will receive higher compensation than a BSc IT rookie based on the wider exposure to candidates in the BTech course curriculum.

With a score of 160.5 in TNEA, you have a good chance of securing admission to reputable colleges for B.Tech in Information Technology (IT). The exact college will depend on the cutoff trends for IT in the year of admission, which vary based on factors like the number of applicants and their scores.

Some colleges that might fall within this range include government-aided institutions and reputed private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. Typically, colleges like PSG Tech, Anna University-affiliated colleges, and SSN College of Engineering have higher cutoffs, so it's best to aim for mid-tier colleges if their cutoff trends match
