It is based on your grade point average and admission exam results. It is completely open for you to choose any stream that interests you, given that you are intelligent and have a variety of options. For such gifted students, the job chances are the same (who get to choose disciplines rather than allotted)
If you are a student in a respectable institution and are above average, Mech/Elec/E&C/E&I/Chem are all good options. Given the current infrastructural binge in the nation, even peaceful discourse is preferable.

In my opinion, MBA in general management or Human Resource Management is also a good choice if one is planning to do an MBA after B.Tech. An MBA degree in finance, marketing will meet the needs of the candidates who expect to work in a managerial position. An MBA in Human Resource Management is a highly in-demand postgraduate degree and mostly preferred by students. It does not matter which UG stream you had pursued. The only thing that matters is whether you are totally committed to make HR as your career. Moving beyond good interpersonal skills, the course provides students with the in-depth knowledge to recruit, select, train, evalu

Careers in both IT and computer Science can take you in many directions, but they do have distinct paths. Jobs grounded in computer Science will broadly mean working with programming languages or data to develop or improve products. Jobs in IT will focus more heavily on the operation of computers, their networks, and systems, so that others in an organisation can do their work smoothly. There are several roles that might straddle the line between computer Science and IT, like cloud computing or database administration. Computer Science and information technology (IT) are two distinct subjects, despite their many similarities. Generally

I would say, first and foremost, you have to understand that there is no point comparing M.Tech and MBA courses. Both are specialised degrees and have value in their respective grounds. Both M.Tech and MBA provide excellent career options and have gained importance over the time. M.Tech or MBA is always an additional advantage to an engineer whether it is in terms of experience, knowledge or seniority. Whether it be an IT, manufacturing, or R&D driven establishment, there would be requirements for both M. Techs and MBAs. The M. Techs would be more of a subject matter specialist, whereas the MBAs would handle product sales and marketing
