SHUATS offers a full-time BTech course with 14 specialisations. Admission for a BTech course is subject to a valid score in the SHUATS Online Entrance Test (SOET) for Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology and Dairy Technology specialisations. For the remaining BTech specialisations, admission is subject to online counselling conducted based on the basis of merit (in the last qualifying exam).

IIT Varanasi Cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission to BTech, BArch and other courses, based on candidates' performance in JEE Advanced. As per the last-round cutoff, the closing cutoff for various courses ranged between 1071 and 22390. The toughest course out of all was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, with the last-round closing rank of 107, for the General AI category candidates. The least competitive course was BArch, with the last-round cutoff of 22390, for the General AI category. Therefore, it s possible to get into IIT Varanasi with JEE Advanced arank of 9000. The University has disclosed the placement percentage for UG (4-year) courses. From 2022 to 2023, a decline of 5% was recorded in the UG (4-year) placement rate. Furthermore, the placement rate for PG (1-year) courses has improved year-on-year. On the other hand, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the PG (2-year) placement rate.
