For admission in B.Tech mechanical engineering you have to clear JEE. The cuttoff varies as per the year in the year 22 batch they got at 95 even (general) if you are from categories like OBC/sc/st it vary even up to 90/87/85. As in the same pattern, the cuttoff for female candidate is different.
Admission requirements can vary from year to year and depend on various factors like students appering inJEEand no of seats avilable in collages. Few other factors like candidates droping from the college.

Yes, NIT Meghalaya offers five courses in different streams, including Computer Science (CS), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), and Civil Engineering (CE). These courses are open for admission to eligible candidates through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
So, yes, there is mechanical engineeering and for that cutoff as per JEE is nearly 95-97percentile for general. One can visit the site of JOSSA for the category cutoff.

You need to get more than 95 percentile in JEE-mains. Also, Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Information Practice/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Agricultutre/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship as optional subjects and obtained atleast 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects taken together. For Lateral Entry-Candidate must have passed diploma in relevant field from a recognized board.

For General Category students, the fees is INR 1,25,000 but if the annual income of the family is less than 4-5 lacs then the student gets scholarship and the fee is reduced to 78,000.
For OBC category students the fees is INR 78,000.
For SC the fee is INR 17,000.
And for ST the fee is INR 2000-4000.
(J&K candidates get 100% scholarship here i.e., tuition fee is reduced and only exam fee is to be paid)

Candidate must have studied Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ IT/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies with 45 percent marks in the above subjects taken together from any recognised Board/Council. The 40 percent marks of SC/ST and OBC is for the candidate belonging to maharashtra State. Candidates who are appearing at the qualifying examination are also eligible.
