Yes you can get direct B.Tech lateral admission in ECE, Elections etc. Related to Diploma stream specializations in colleges located in Tamilnadu and Maharashtra etc.

Punjab University offers a four-year B.Tech programme in eight specialisations along with an Integrated BE (Chemical) - MBA programme. Admission to both the programmes is based on JEE Main. To add, the university also conducts and considers the scores of PULEET and PU MEET scores for lateral entry admissions. The minimum eligibility for BE and Integrated courses is Class 12 with PCM subjects from a recognised board. B.Tech courses may vary with the specialisation or without. As per reports, UIET fees for B.Tech is about 6 lacs.

The average package offered during JNTUK B.Tech placements 2023 is not released. However, according to JNTUK NIRF report 2023, the median package offered during JNTUK UG 4-year placements 2022 stood at INR 4.46 LPA. Earlier, the median package offered during JNTUK UG 4-year placements 2021 and 2020 stood at INR 4 LPA and INR 3.60 LPA, respectively.

The placements are good in GCET. Something that matters is you are choosing which course. Fees differ from courses to courses for each course fees is different. Scholarship form that is provided by the government.
