For general category candidates, a minimum of 55% in science-related 10+2 courses is required, and for SC/ST category candidates, 50%.
Candidates who have completed a diploma in engineering and technology with or without honours and who obtained a minimum of 45% (or 40% for SC/ST) on the vacancy list for the course's first year.

The B.Tech. in Biotechnology is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
