Hi,Lateral entry students do have an edge as they save one precious year and enter the dynamic field in the second year of BTech.
You would need a good college which would give the best academics like best faculty added with a good infrastructure. It should have all the equipment needed for the field practicals and exposure to big companies that would recruit the students.
The best thing would be to browse some good colleges like Indian Institute of Roorke Jamia Melia Lovely Professional University which is known for its placements records especially.

Hi,
The B.Tech online application form is available for all universities on their web site only. You just need to click open the website and the from the portal only the whole admission process starts. All universities are doing so especially in the wake of the grim situation of the country. Hi,It is good that you have decided to pursue a stream of which is quite demanding in today's competitive scenario. The B.Tech CSE needs either JEEMains or the entrance exams conducted by the university besides minimum 60% in your XIIth class. The University to choose should give you the best of academics. Hi,Yes, you can surely take B.Tech Biotechnology, because it needs a pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology or equivalent, subject to qualifying JEE Mains or any entrance exam a college conducts. The MAKAUT is an institute of repute. You can also try for NITMAS which offers good faculty. You have talked about the average fee structure for your course. Admissions in IITs /NITs / IIITs and other CFTIs- at least 75% marks in class 12, or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12th class exam conducted by the respective board, to qualify for admissions. For SC/ST candidates, the qualifying marks are 65% marks.

Hi,Yes, you can appear for the entrance exams and go for a B-Tech degree.
In my opinion, Food Technology would be covering a wider aspect. You will develop competence in areas like Food Process Engineering, Crop Processing Technology, Food Analysis and regulations, Plant and Animal biotechnology.
