There's a term called lateral entry for the Diploma holders to get into B.Tech programme. For them, B.Tech is of 3years and they take admission during the 2nd year of a current B.Tech programme. Excluding the 1st year syllabus of B.Tech, rest is the same with students not having a Diploma.
