Admission is facilitated through the SOA Admission Test (SAAT) or JEE Main, with exemption granted to those with a valid JEE Main score. The university conducts online/offline counselling after the entrance score declaration for the final admission process.Candidate shall have passed Minimum Three years / Two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category), from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent.Admission to SOA for almost all the courses is based on university-level exams i.e., SAAT (Siksha O Anusandhan Admission Test). Moreover, the university accepts the scores of relevant national-level qualifying exams as per the requirements for the chosen course, such as CAT, MAT, CLAT, GATE, JEE, NEET, and others.

For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 16663 and closing rank was 19175 for the general category candidates under All India quota.The admission to NIT for BTech Computer Science and Engineering takes place through JEE Main. Students with a 3,700 rank in JEE Main ensure admission to Top NITs in India. The JoSAA Counselling determines the NIT that a particular student will study. JEE Advanced 2024 is scheduled on June 12, 2024.With 60-70 percentile range in JEE Main 2024, it is unlikely for students to get a seat in the elite NITs and IIITs since these institutes demand a minimum percentile score of 85-90. Therefore it becomes a challenge for candidates to get into the top-notch college.

The basic eligibility criteria to get admission to B Tech Biotechnology colleges in Hyderabad are mentioned below:

• Candidates must have completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board such as CBSE, ICSE, or State Board with a 50% to 60% aggregate marks in PCM  (Chemistry,  Chemistry, and Mathematics) subjects. They should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects during their Class 12 education.
• In Hyderabad, many Engineering colleges consider scores from national or state-level entrance exams for admission. The two most common entrance exams for Engineering are the JEE Main and the TS EAMCET. Candidates need to appear for these exams and obtain a valid score to be eligible for admission.
