The real truth of IIT Indore .
Placements: This year, almost every top college faced a dip in their placements. The place rate for the mechanical engineering department was around 70 percent, which is very low compared to last year. placement rate of 88 percent. The highest was around 50 LPA, & the lowest was around 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, DE Shaw, PSUs, etc. Internship opportunities are good for CSE & EE branches, while those for other core branches are less. The top roles are SDE & other technical roles.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is best here at IIT Indore because it's a 2nd-generation IIT, & hostels are just awesome. Now students get double occupancy rooms in their first years, & they will be getting single occupancy from their second year onward. Mess food is okay or more towards the good side; sometimes one may miss the Mumbai food. Sports facilities are good here, with a cricket ground, football ground, badminton court, squash court, volleyball court, swimming pool & well-occupied gym.
Faculty: Professors at IIT Indore are good, & most of the professors are Masters in their field from top foreign universities. The teaching method is a little old but since 2023 courses are according to the to the new education policy, you will be getting more practical knowledge and will be industry-ready. Semester exams are of moderate level; you get good marks if you study smartly. Passing criteria are different in different courses; sometimes it may be relative grading, & sometimes it may be absolute.
Other: There are numerous events going on throughout the year, but some major ones are FLUXUS, the cultural & technical event, E-summit, MUN, TEDX and the sports event Lakshya. IIT Indore is going to host the Inter-IIT competition in 2024.

IIT Indore is good and I'm satisfied with my college placements and really good infrastructure.
Placements: In my course last year, the average package was about 12–14 LPA. The highest package was 74 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA, and in my course, 18 LPA was the average package. Companies like Flipkart, Google, Axela, etc. are recruiting. Roles like software engineer, data analyst, etc. were offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs and classrooms are more than expected, and the library is very good. Especially in my department, we had many labs and faculty members provided projects to the students. Hostel facilities are okay because the rooms are too small for two students. Hostel food is moderate. The menu is good but the taste is moderate and for medical facilities, we had a health center too where students would get free treatment. Sports facilities are also awesome but cricket grounds have not been made till now; it's been 4+ months.
Faculty: Teachers are very good and also helpful. The teaching quality was average. Course curriculum is not relevant because I don't think engineers need to study courses like bioscience and environment studies. More subjects, like economics and entrepreneurship, should be there. Semester exams are not too difficult but the course curriculum is very lengthy, as we had 10–12 course subjects. Pass percentage is about 4.5–5+.
Other: I'm interested in this course by my 7th or 8th grade. The best thing about my course is that it's a real-world-based course. Events, fests and campus crowd connectivity are very good. Reliance scholarships are also available at our college and more scholarships are also available. Central India's biggest fest was held at IIT Indore, which is called Fluxus. Also, we had almost every club regarding each department.

Really good infrastructure and facilities I can say.
Placements: I guess around 70% of the students from my course (mechanical engineering) have already been placed and the rest are about to go. The highest and lowest packages would be 30 LPA and 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Nvidia, Texas Instruments, and L&T are the companies that will mostly recruit for this course. Again, around 40-60% will get internships from different companies including Amazon, Hackathon, Unstop, etc. Top role offered I say is design in this course.
Infrastructure: One of the best among all IITs and NITs in terms of infrastructure and facilities like Wi-Fi there will be 4-6 providers. There are different labs for each year. For 1st year, we have 2 labs and for 2nd year we have 5 labs. Classrooms are decently maintained. Library is really worth it for our study and research purposes. Quality of the food is okay. Hospital is there nearby hostels. Sports and games including volleyball, cricket, and badminton have their respective grounds.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in any way you need in terms of academics or boosting mental strength. The college will provide one of the professors to be our faculty advisor in the first itself. All teachers are qualified with their PhDs. Teaching quality is also good. Absolutely course curriculum is relevant to our industries also they will provide labs and projects for the students to make industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate or above. Pass percentage would be 90% and above.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in design. Best thing about the course might be the stress-free than the other courses. I wish the practical study to be improved. There will be events and fests like Lakshya, Fluxus, Shaurya, etc. Campus crowd is not as heavy as on other campuses. Connectivity will be there. Campus surroundings include a forest. Scholarship offering mail will come to the college mail they provide for us, that's it.

A really great campus life and facilities.
Placements: In the year 2023, there are 360 students, of which about 320 students got placed. On average, around 89% of students got placed in the placement season. The highest package and average package offered were around 68 Lacs and 25.47 Lacs, respectively. For M.Tech students, the highest and average packages were around 35 Lacs and 9 Lacs, respectively. Some of the top recruiters for this placement season were Amazon, Samsung, Jio, Wipro, and Walmart.
Infrastructure: The Indian Institute of Technology Indore provides well-equipped hostels, labs, dining facilities, cafes, healthcare facilities, and sports facilities, etc. There are a total of 5 hostels on campus (4 for boys and 1 for girls). Each hostel has a badminton court, table tennis racquets and tables, televisions, etc., for students' entertainment. Each student gets a table, chair, and almirah. The sports complex, one of the huge buildings on campus, has a swimming pool, gym, basketball court, volleyball court, cricket ground, and every other sports facility, including tennis, football, squash, etc. Dining facilities include many cafes, mess facilities, night canteens, etc. In the mess, students are provided with 4 meals per day, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. The library is one of the beautiful buildings on campus with 30,000+ books and 5000+ e-journals. It provides a large area called Svadyay for self-studies. Campus facilities such as ATMs, banks, salons, parlors, stores, etc., are available for our daily needs.
Faculty: The faculty members include teaching assistants, professors, mentors, and lab assistants who are very knowledgeable and experts in their own fields. They are qualified with Ph.D., M.Tech, M.Sc., and Master's degrees. The course curriculum is perfect and relevant for anyone who wants to get into their core field.
Other: The best thing about the course is that it has many placement opportunities in both core and IT fields. There are many options for Masters too. Various events and fests include various sports competitions, E-Summit, and Central India's largest cultural and technical fest, Fluxus.

Overall a good second generation IIT.
Placements: The institute claims to provide place 90 percent of its students. The average package is around 21 Lacs. In terms of internships I would advise not to expect much if you are from core branches. Although the people from circuital branches manage to get internship at good places like jio, etc.
Infrastructure: In terms of hostels this college is one of the best in the country. Although the Wi-Fi is bad but still overall the hostels are excellent in terms of ambience and quality. The mess is central for the entire college. There are no food outlets around the hostel. All the outlets are in and around the central dining facility. And also the connectivity of the campus from the main city is poor.
Faculty: The faculty will make to miss your teachers during your JEE era. The exams are generally tough and lengthy. It is not easy to get good grades here. The grading system provides a minimum grade of 4 and maximum of 10. So the average turn out to be 7 cpi, where most companies open from 8 cpi so you will have to be fairly above average to get a good placement.
