Why you should choose IIT Indore!

Placements: This year, in the 2024 passing batch, the placements were not that good. Nearly 65% of students from our branch got placed. The average package was 15 LPA, which is less compared to previous years. The lowest was 8-9 LPA, and the highest was 35 LPA. The top recruiters this year were Jio, ZS, Razorpay, Deloitte, and Walmart. The internship scenario is bad this year; only a few students from our branch got internships. The top roles offered were SDE, Analyst, Consultant, and core positions.

Infrastructure: The campus and infrastructure are top-notch. Classrooms are well-equipped with ACs and other facilities. The Wi-Fi is not super fast, but you can easily handle all necessary tasks. Labs have all the equipment required in fully working condition, and lab assistants are there to help us get familiar with lab equipment.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful and very well qualified; most of them hold degrees from prestigious institutions all over the world. They are more than happy if you want to join them for some work. Talking about the curriculum, it is challenging but could be managed if done wisely. Marks are well distributed among midsems, endsems, and quizzes, giving multiple scoring opportunities. The semester exams are tough but can be passed if prepared smartly.

Life in an IIT by an average student.

Placements: In our course, approximately 80% of the students got placed with an average CTC of 10 LPA. The highest package was around 18 Lacs per annum and average was around 10 LPA with the lowest package being around 5 to 6 LPA. Many PSUs and tech companies visit for recruitments. Students getting internship opportunities are less in this branch compared to the other branches.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the soul of this college. The hostels are good and cleaned properly. The medical facilities along with the and sports facilities also good. Wi-Fi is provided across the campus. Classrooms and the library are equipped with modern day technology. Quality of food in the mess is sometimes moderate and sometimes good or average, but it is never bad. Sports facilities are still progressing but they are moderate.

Faculty: Professors are well educated as they all have done their Ph.Ds from IITs. They are a little old fashioned and are very strict. Course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry ready. Semesters are a bit difficult and the students need to work hard. Many student get a back (fail) in the exams.

Review of IIT Indore - Indian Institute of Technology.

Placements: Almost 89.76% of students got placed in this course. In metallurgical engineering and material science branch, almost 89.29% of students got placed. The average salary package offered was 18.95 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Salesforce, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Zomato, Flipkart, Rakuten, Samsung, Oracle, Walmart, Jio, Razorpay, Wipro, etc. Core recruiters are ISRO, Bharat Petroleum, GAIL, Hero, Tata Steel, TVS, etc. The top roles offered are SDE, business analyst, and technical manager in the core field.

Infrastructure: Facilities are excellent. Classrooms are decent. It also provides projectors, microphones, etc. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Free Wi-Fi can be accessed by logging in. The learning resource center has a huge collection of study material catering to all academic needs and for the preparation of competitive examinations. Hostel facilities are good. It has six units in each room. A dedicated sports complex is available. Sports, such as volleyball, football, cricket, squash, badminton, and table tennis, are conducted. Mess is available. The food served in the canteen is very good.

Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. scholars. They have research papers published in international journals. The teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. There are a lot of laboratories that give exposure to practical skills. The course is rigorous and requires more than 35 hours per week. Semester exams are tough.

Other: The best thing about this course is that it provides good exposure. Fluxus is the techno-cultural fest of IIT Indore. Our campus crowd is good. Our campus has good environment. This institute is far away from the main institute, so the campus is fairly isolated. All the necessary things are available on campus.

It has good infrastructure and provides good facilities.

Placements: In our department, about 96% of students are placed this year with an average salary package of 18 LPA, and the rest went for higher studies. The highest domestic salary package is about 56 LPA. All top companies recruit students from our college, and about 32 students are doing internships at those companies.

Infrastructure: The hostel at IIT Indore is the best in the whole country. We also get high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the campus. Labs are well-equipped with modern equipment. The food is also good. Sometimes, you may find it not that good.

Faculty: All teachers are highly knowledgeable and many have also taught in IITs. They all have master's from well-known foreign universities. The curriculum is not that hard, but also not very easy. You can prepare for exams just about one week before they start. We need to maintain a GPA of 8 or above.

Other: I chose this course because of my personal interest. I can learn about the thermodynamics of materials, and this is my favourite topic.

Budding institute with lots of opportunities in the near future.

Placements: 80% of students were placed among the batch of 250 students. The highest package offered was of 47 lacs. Avg package remained at 18 lacs . Top companies were IOCL, Goldman Sachs, Gail, etc. The roles offered were engineering trainee, management trainee and many others.

Infrastructure: Facilities are at their best. Being a new infrastructure IIT Indore has ample facilities inside the 500 acre campus. Hostels are the best part where a single room is provided to each and every student. Mess food is fine. We have a hospital in our campus which is operational 24*7. Sports facilities are okay and needs to be developed more.

Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified with a post doctoral degrees in their bags. They are very kind helpful and generous and have a lot of experience in their relative fields. Course curriculum is fine with application projects and make the students industry ready but not fully I. e. more improvements can be done.

It is a good campus and provides average placements.

Placements: Around 40 to 50% of the students got placed till now. We are the first batch in this branch, so there are no previous placement records. The highest salary package offered was 15 LPA by IOCL. Almost 70% of the students got internships in industrial or research-based internships.

Infrastructure: The location and infrastructure of the campus are good. The campus is away from the city, and buildings have a unique structure. It is not completely built yet, but it provides every minimum required thing. There are no issues with the internet as Wi-Fi is provided in hostel, libraries, classrooms, and labs.

Faculty: All the faculty members in our college are helpful and are qualified enough to teach. Every faculty member has a unique way of teaching, and they help us if there is any problem or doubt regarding any course or career. They are experienced enough to give us advice for our future.

Best time of my life learning about life.

Placements: Talking about the placements, CSE students do very well in placements grabbing an average package of 15-20 LPA. Also EE students do very well in placements. Placement has been a little concern for mech civil and meta students but will surely be increasing in the upcoming years.

Infrastructure: Hostels of IIT Indore are the best hostels compared to other IITs. Newly designed 5 BHK rooms having 1 student in each bedroom, our rooms are spacious and very clean. Talking about the campus, it is very calm and full of trees since it is located 25 km outside the main city of Indore.

Faculty: My course contains knowledge metallurgy and material Science engineering. It is a bit vast but easy to understand. Also faculty members of our course are very helpful since they have to promote their branch for higher industrial learning. If you study at least two weeks before the exams you can crack the paper.

Other: College is involved in all the extra curricular activities such as sports, drama, debate, quizzes and much more.

My college IIT Indore - A place to learn and get good education.

Placements: Placements are good here with an average package of 15 LPA. CSE and EE have a very good placement history. Mechanical is also good but not that high package is offered. Almost everyone here goes for non core jobs. Since IIT Indore is the fastest developing IIT, it will surely improve its placements in the upcoming years.

Infrastructure: As we all know that IIT Indore is the fastest developing IIT. Infrastructure is very good here including the hostels and lecture hall. Dining hall is also very clean and rooms are big and spacious. Also, lecture halls are air-conditioned so that students study well there.

Faculty: My course duration is 4 years and it contains topics related to metallurgy. Faculty members here are too good and very helpful in the course. Course is a little vast but easy to understand if practice daily. Also, semester exams are easy to crack if studied for a week or two before exams.

Other: This college is involved in many extra curricular activities such as intra IIT sports meet which includes football, cricket, badminton tournament and also table tennis tournaments.
