Investment bankers often start their careers at the analyst level and, with experience and additional education, advance into associate positions. Others enter the field as associates after working in another industry and earning a graduate degree such as an MBA.

If you have done through distance mode and have completed by 2014, till the Supreme Court judgment, then only you are eligible. Any degree obtained from SMU after 2014 is not eligible for any government job, due to territorial jurisdiction violation and commercialization, which lead to cancel of recognition from DEB.

It doesn't matter what is your background but you need to meet the minimum criteria. For example, you need to be any graduate with a minimum set percentage if you wish to apply for bank probationer officer exam you need to clear written exam and interview and make the final list. It doesn't matter what is your graduation stream. Alternate options are doing MBA finance or marketing or banking or HR for the respective role in banking sector.

Yes, you can go for the banking sector.
For degree holders who have an interest in banking, you have some choices with an international business degree. You could work at a local bank with foreign accounts or at a foreign-owned bank that does business in your country.
After you complete your degree, you will have several different options on where you want to go in your career, from finance to banking to consulting. While many of these jobs need advanced degrees or specialisation, they are still obtainable and lucrative.
