There is no banking course offered by government. However, nationalised banks have PO exams for recruitment and there are quite a few agencies across India which offer training to students.

It entirely depends upon your interests, family and financial conditions. If the job is really worth it, go for it. If not, and you want to really make a career in the management field, then MBA is the right choice.

Candidates who are fresh graduates of various engineering colleges around the country and are wondering where to move next as they want to get themselves land into government job should focus on banking preparation. Yes, it will. This course focuses on accounts, finance, billings, and cost management of a company and preparation of papers for audit. The candidate is evaluated on the basis of practical and theoretical performances in each half yearly semester. They are graded according to their performances.

COMPARISON
Now if we compare both the jobs, then both are prestigious jobs in Govt. providing you incentives, money. Now, it depends on you what you want in your life. If you want to gain some power of administration in your hand and also want money, then surely you must go for SSC-CGL because in PO job you are not given any power related to administration. And if you want to earn much money in your life then surely go for bank PO job. Now, here I am describing some points where you can get some idea why I would say that SSC-CGL jobs are much better than Bank PO jobs.
