At GIBS, students receive ample academic assistance and placements while pursuing extracurricular activities by providing a structured, helping campus environment of assistance. The academic calendar at GIBS is designed so that all aspects of student education can be completed through practical project-based learning methods. Consequently, this means that students are not left with additional burdens when studying for university assessments alone.

In conjunction with this process, GIBS provides placement training (aptitude tests, soft skills training, interview preparation and resume development) on an annual basis, and allows students to go through this process over several phases instead of one continuous time period, which allows them to work through this training in an easier and more manageable manner.

Additionally, GIBS encourages its students to be active members of various student societies, participate in sports and cultural events, and participate in leadership and team-building activities, which provide students with the opportunity to relieve themselves from the academic and extracurricular burdens of the day.

With assistance from faculty mentors, fellow students, and a structured, balanced life outside of classes, students at GIBS are able to achieve their academic, professional and personal development while eliminating the stress and pressure associated with being a college or university graduate.

At GIBS, students interact with peers from around the world while participating in a wide range of cultural, management, and athletics activities throughout the course of the academic year. On campus, a variety of annual cultural festivals take place, such as Talent Shows, Festival Celebrations, Open Mic Nights, and Theme Days. These provide an opportunity for students to express themselves creatively.

On the management side, there are annual business conclaves, management fests, case study competitions, quizzes and workshops led by industry experts; alumni interactions; and start-up pitch sessions and industrial visits that enhance practical learning.

For athletics and wellness, GIBS offers numerous opportunities for students to connect with their peers, including participating in the annual Sports Meet, inter-batch tournaments, outdoor activities (e.g., trekking), and indoor/outdoor games (e.g., table tennis, basketball, badminton, football, etc.). Students can also participate in Fitness Challenges, Yoga classes, and various other Recreational Activities.

Taken together, these events create opportunity for Holistic Development by building Leadership Skills, Teamwork, Confidence and a Strong Sense of Community Throughout the Academic Year.

Industry Exposure at GIBS Business School is integrated into the curriculum as a continuous and structured part of instruction, rather than just one event. GIBS conducts the following types of activities to keep students connected with industry:

• Guest Speaker Series (also called Corporate Talks) are held on average every month to every other month throughout the term to bring industry leaders (many of whom are HR professionals) into campus as speakers to give Motivating Talks and share their insights about the industries they represent.
• Industry visits (multiple visits scheduled and organised each semester) allow students to gain first-hand knowledge of the operation of businesses in different industries, i.e. manufacturing, logistics, finance, and IT. These visits offer students a better understanding of the Industry from an operational perspective.
• Alumni Sessions & Webinars (held regularly by the GIBS alumni who return to campus for career events to share their career experiences) occur most frequently prior to placement and internship activities, during which time alumni are able to inform students of the expectations they had when they entered the workforce and give advice about how best to prepare for interviews.

During the placement season at GIBS Business School, Bangalore, over 260 firms came into the campus recruiting for their graduate students from all different fields of work which allowed students to receive multiple job offers. The various firms recruiting were from many different industries, including consulting, finance, IT/ITES, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), logistics and start-ups. This demonstrates that the school has a strong relationship with many businesses in these industries. Due to this success, almost all eligible graduates were placed in a job during the school's placement drive, thus allowing students to have a successful outcome upon graduation.

Through numerous programs, GIBS actively helps its students gain significant industry exposure. The Institute frequently hosts guest lectures and workshops with experts from within industry, as well as top corporate executives and leaders from all major fields. Students have the opportunity to gain an understanding of how businesses operate and the current trends associated with them via guest speakers. GIBS also has several Industrial Visits Facility (IVF) locations throughout the State where students visit companies in various industries such as IT, manufacturing, fast moving consumer products (FMCG), Banking/Finance, Retailing, and others. These trips allow students to experience what it is like inside of an organisation first-hand to understand workflows and processes. In addition, GIBS creates opportunities for its students to complete real-world assignments, participate in case study analysis, and undertake internships either during their study at GIBS or as part of their career path. By bringing together industry professionals, applying these skills through live projects, and working on projects that will provide them with hands-on experience, GIBS creates successful graduates who have a full knowledge of how the industry operates and the tools they need to find employment and build careers.

You will need to submit original documents along with self-attested photocopies of these documents for verification before gaining admission into the GIBS Business School, Bangalore. The following are the important documents:

• 10th (SSLC) Mark Sheet and Certificate
• 12th (PUC/10+2) Mark Sheet and Certificate
• All Semester/Year Mark Sheets for your Graduation;
• Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate (for Final Year students);
• Entrance Exam Scorecard such as CAT / MAT / CMAT / XAT / ATMA / GMAT / GIBS Internal Test;
• Passport size photographs (generally 4-6);
• Migration Certificate (in case you have one);
• Transfer Certificate (TC) from your last educational institute;
• Certificate of Work Experience (if applicable);
• Certificate of Caste (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, if applicable);
• Bank Transaction Receipt for Admission Fees; and

Students may also be required to submit their value-added certification (internships, achievements, or professional training) during the verification process.
