The admission criteria differs for every university. According to popular universities, a candidate must be from Science/Commerce stream and must have studied Maths and Computer Science as mandatory subjects in +2 and should have scored at least 70% in +2.
But, some universities also provide admission to arts students too with Maths and CS being non-mandatory subjects.

It solely depends on what you want to pursue. There is nothing like which is better or less preferred. However, depending on the career path you want in future after graduating one may benefit more than others. Like if you want to complete your MBA from an IIM and enter into the high salary job profile. Then a simple B.Com or BBA is also good and if you want a government job in a bank. Then also B.Com is advised and then either you can do MBA or simply clear the exams and get a government job.

Delhi University does not offer BCA course but it offers B.Sc. In Computer Science. So, you have to apply for B.Sc in CS. Else, you can opt for GGSIPU colleges.

It is highly recommended that you pursue your Bachelor's degree from a regular college and not via distance learning as BCA is a course which requires practical knowledge.
