Yes, one can get placement after only completing BCA. Salary is depend on your job location, on job profile and on organising which you will join.
Like in Pune, if you get placement after BCA in a small domestic firm and job profile is PHP developer. If you are a fresher, you will get a package nearly 1.4-1.8L PA but if you join an MNC with profile Java fresher, your package will be 2.4 - 3.0 LPA

Many universities in the US do accept three-year degree. You have to get a WES evaluation of your Bachelor's degree for this. Please check the websites and email them. Universities which strictly mention they don't accept three year degree won't oblige and no point negotiating with them. Take your GRE too.
Good luck.

MCA is anyways equivalent to B.Tech. But in order to compare, the scope of either MBA or MCA is always better because these are post graduation degrees.
However, if I will come to salary and job prospects, both depend on many factors like experience, skills, location, companies, merit, etc. MCA is a technical degree and if you want to stick around technology, then it will help otherwise to get a managerial level, MBA is slightly a better choice.
