Yes, you can apply for B.Tech in Biotechnology. Eligible candidates need to appear for the entrance test conducted by the School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, D.Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai.
Candidate having valid score in any recognized national / state level entrance examinations will be exempted from entrance test conducted by the college.
Candidates are selected based on marks obtained in 10+2 and entrance test/any recognized national / state level entrance examinations.
Interested candidates can apply online with required information.

You need to have 55% in best four subjects of yours and you need to clear the entrance exam to get admission for BSc biotechnology in Sri Guru Gobind Singh University.

In India, both these fields are not yet developed completely. Yet B.Sc Biotech has better placement and salary opportunities.

B.Tech (Bioinformatics) cut-off marks generally go upto:
For OC: 185.75.
For BC: 176.25.
