M.Sc in Biological Sciences is a 2- year long post graduate programme designed to equip students with the generic skills of a researcher in Biomedical Sciences, Ecology, Evolution and Behavior or Plant Molecular Sciences with a broad base of knowledge in the Biological Sciences. M.Sc. Life Sciences or Master of Science in Life Sciences a postgraduate degree programme offered by various universities and colleges around the country. It is a course that spans fortwo academic yearsdivided intofour semesters. The course gives a deep study of the various life process in plants, animals and human beings along with microorganisms like fungi, algae and virus. It is a study of the living beings at all levels starting from the molecular and cellular levels to the major life processes life respiration, digestion, reproduction etc. Any student who wishes to make a career in the microbiology or biotechnology or bioinformatics, should opt for this course as it provides a base for all these fields in detail.
