After BTech BME you can apply for PG courses like M.Tech in Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering or M.Tech in Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering to get specialised knowledge of the field. Biomedical Engineering graduates can work in both hospitals and industries. In the hospital setting you can work as a clinical engineer looking after the management and maintenance of medical devices and equipment, a biomedical equipment technician for servicing and upgrading hospital equipment, a medical imaging specialist for operating and maintaining medical imaging equipment or a clinical specialist for surgical procedures involving devices like pacemakers.
