It's not comparing between those because both are good but if you want a Master's degree then my suggestion is to go through B.Sc with any subject of your choice. If you want to go through the technical way then you can go through engineering and technology (B.Tech) branch as per your choice.

An eligible candidate has to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE exams. GATE exam is jointly conducted by Indian Institute of Science and IITs for technical graduates. Forms for GATE exam is available in the month of September every year and admit card can be taken in the month of December. Exam is conducted in the month of January and expected month for declaration of result is March. Skills tested in this exam are General Aptitude and Engineering Mathematics. You are not eligible for B.Tech in biotechnology, because the eligibility requires Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics or other opted subjects. So, it is better, you go for B.Sc in biotechnology.

So, if you are planning to appear in the exam then, you must study well. IIT JAM 2019 Exam will be conducted in the month of February 2019. So, you have enough time left for the preparation.
