In 2017-18, the average package for students of BE Chemical was 6.77 and the maximum was 10.11. Companies like Vedanta, Byju's, Tata Steel, Axis Bank, etc. Visited the campus for placements.

Yes, it can be done. You would have to clear the entrance test and interview for admission in BIT-Mesra.

You could attempt for Biotechnology branch at BIT Mesra. You could also consider others at BIT Jaipur/Patna/Deoghar.
