BTech graduates from Calcutta University can lead to several government job opportunities. Further, in the central government, several posts are designated to them only. They can work in the division of Indian Engineering Services (IES), Ministry of Defence, the Department of Telecommunications, etc. Moreover, to get jobs in these fields, applicants must have pursued their BTech degree in relevant specialisations and must complete several eligibility requirements, such as fulfilling the age requirements listed for each position, accessible and pertinent admission examinations, interviews, and other forms of selection, and many mor

Yes, Candidates only require a minimum of 45% aggregate score in Class 12 to apply for the BTech Course at KUK. Furthermore, they must also meet the JEE Mains cutoff ranking/list prepared by the Haryana State Technical Counselling Society (HSTES). Candidates who fail to meet this cutoff may not receive admission at KUK; however, scoring less than 50% does not deny them from applying to KUK.

For admissions to the BTech course at Calcutta University, applicants must have completed all the eligibility requirements and the selection process required by the university. The university releases the merit list of some of the shortlisted candidates according to their scores secured in the last qualifying examination. Further, for some courses, such as BTech, MBA, etc., the university accepts the relevant scores of JEE Mains, CAT, WBJEE scores, and others. The university also conducts its own entrance test for some of the courses. Before appearing for the exam, it is necessary for candidates to qualify for the basic eligibility req

Yes, Chandigarh University is a good choice for B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. What I really like about the programme is the variety of specializations you can pick, like Thermal & Energy, Industrial Manufacturing & Management, or Automation & Robotics. The labs are another strong point from 3D printing and advanced welding labs to industry-backed centres by Honda, Mahindra, Hyundai, and MG Motors. These collaborations give you hands-on exposure that feels very close to real-world industry work. On top of that, the department is both ABET and NBA accredited, which adds global recognition. With regular industrial visits, workshops, and

I've had a really good experience with the mechanical engineering faculty at Chandigarh University. Most of them are PhD holders, so you can tell they know their subject inside out. What I like is that they're not just teaching from books—they share real-world examples, guide us in labs, and help with projects. The faculty is approachable, so if you ever get stuck on something, you can just ask, and they'll explain patiently. They also encourage students to explore electives like Thermal & Energy Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or Design & Robotics, and help you pick what suits your career goals.

Plus, with all the collab

Check below the common eligibility criteria for admission to the top WBJEE colleges for BTech in West Bengal:

Candidates must have earned a passing grade in PCM in the Class 12 exam with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognised board.
For admissions, candidates must take standard entrance exams like WBJEE, and other university-specific entrance exams in addition to their Class 12 results.
The process of admission is carried out by online counseling where students are allotted seats based on their score/rank in the exam through which the institute offers admission.

Yes, you qualify for DTU if you received a 60% in your 12th grade.

However, admission is primarily determined by your JEE Main rank rather than your grades.

You have to attend JAC Delhi counseling after JEE.

Therefore, you can get DTU CSE/IT if your JEE score is high.

If your rank is low, you might have to look at other colleges or get a different branch.

IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, or IIIT Allahabad/Naya Raipur are among the top universities in the world for academic, professional, and international opportunities if you want a comprehensive, future-ready CSE programme with great placements and you have access to JEE or merit-based pathways.

If IITs are not an option, BITS Pilani, VIT Vellore, DTU, and Thapar Institute offer more affordable admissions, excellent returns, and industry exposure for similarly strong private-college setups.
