SVU Barrackpore's BTech seat intake for 2026 is currently unknown. Last year, BTech CSE course had the highest seat intake of any BTech course at SVU Barrackpore. Thus, this is the flagship BTech course of the institute, candidates can expect it have the highest seat intake this year as well.

There is no mention of any provisions regarding admission to candidates who are yet to receive their Class 12 board exam results. Generally this is not an issue since BTech admissions are opened after results are out. 

Candidates are allowed to appear for accepted entrance exam WBJEE without their Class 12 board exam results. However, they are advised to raise this query with admission desk for confirmation.

Candidates will be required to provide copies of following documents during application stage of SVU Barrackpore BTech admission:

  • Class 10th and Class 12th passing certificate and marksheet
  • ID and address proof
  • Transfer / Migration certificate
  • Passport sized photograph

No, Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore BTech admission is yet to open for academic year 2026. WBJEE is still ongoing at this point with its exam date scheduled on May 24th. Candidates are thus recommended to check for BTech admissions after WBJEE results are announced in June.

No, Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore BTech admission is yet to open for academic year 2026. WBJEE is still ongoing at this point with its exam date scheduled on May 24th. Candidates are thus recommended to check for BTech admissions after WBJEE results are announced in June.

BTech in CSE fees has not been revealed by Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore for academic year 2026 yet. Last year, this course had a total fees of INR 5.02 lakh. Candidates can expect a slight increase in total fees this year for BTech in CSE.

BTech admissions at Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore are based on WBJEE. Therefore, candidates can expect WBJEE registration deadline in April to be last date to apply for BTech at Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore. Admissions are yet to be opened for BTech in 2026.

No, candidates from PCB stream are not eligible to apply for Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore BTech courses. This is because Mathematics is a mandatory subject to be eligible for BTech at SVU Barrackpore. 

Candidates of PCMB stream however are eligible to apply for these courses.

No, candidates cannot apply for Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore BTech courses directly. Instead, candidates are required to appear in WBJEE in order to qualify for BTech admissions.

Candidates who have a valid score in JEE Mains can also apply through those scores.

Yes, Jain Deemed-to-be University, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, follows the refund policy for the BTech programme as per Jain University. The regulations say the fees are refundable if the admission is cancelled within 15 days of the last admission date. If students cancel the admission after 15 days, a deduction of INR 5000 is made, and the rest of the fee is refunded.
