To apply for a Post Graduate Diploma, you generally need a graduation degree in any stream. So, if you haven't completed your degree yet, you won't be eligible right now.

A typical path would be:

  • Complete graduation (like B.Com Management Studies)
  • Then apply for a PG Diploma or MBA in Business Management
  • Later, you can also explore PhD in Management if you're interested in research or teaching.

With a rank of 1394, you have good chances at decent B-Schools. You can consider colleges like ICFAI, VIT Business School, GITAM, and Welingkar. You should also explore MMS colleges in Mumbai for better ROI and exposure.

Choosing the right college for Business Management depends on placements, faculty, and specialization.

If you already have B.Com Management Studies, it will help you adapt faster. For long-term goals, PhD in Management is also a strong option.

There is no CAT PI shortlist for IIMs. Candidates have to simply login with their CAT credentials and fill the PI shortlist form.

This institute is considered a decent option for students looking to build a career in Business Management. It offers a good academic structure, experienced faculty, and practical exposure.

While it may not be among top-tier colleges, it is comparable to some MMS colleges in Mumbai in terms of ROI. Students with a B.Com Management Studies background often find the curriculum easier.  It can also be a stepping stone toward higher studies like PhD in Management.

There is no minimum qualifying marks for CAT. Anybody scoring above 0 in the exam is eligible for admission, however the B-Schools select candidates on the basis of cut offs which are 60 and above percentile.

The final CAT cutoff are not released publically. However, candidates can check qualifying cut offs in the admission criteria document released by IIMs and other institute before the exam.

CAT cut off is prepared by all accepting colleges individually. There is no one authorized body to do so. Even the IIMs determine their admission cut offs separately.

To pursue Business Management, students usually appear for entrance exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT, ATMA, and MAH CET. If you're targeting MMS colleges in Mumbai, MAH CET is especially important.

The total MBA fee varies widely depending on the institute. It can range from INR 2 Lacs to 25 lakhs. Many students first complete B.Com Management Studies to build a strong base, and later some even go for PhD in management for specialisation and research.
