Your query is not clear. But from what I understand, he has completed his course at the University. Most universities in India have allotted a definite period for a student to complete/clear their backlogs after course completion. If the candidate is able to do that in the defined period, they will receive their degree certificate.

You would basically need to join a crash course now (if you feel like you can't prepare on your own). But in case you are the smart one and think you can practice by yourself - then do so. Nothing better than giving hours and hours of smart work (not hard work) by yourself to CAT preparation. In case, you are also shortlisting the colleges to apply at right now only, then it is a great decision. Organized planning gives better results. I would suggest that LM Thapar School of Management is a must-try. Like you can at least try exploring opportunities and resources present in this Punjab based MBA college.
