Career opportunity in rural management include challenging responsibilities in the rural co-operative sector, in development organisations, agri-business enterprises, areas related to micro-finance, food and agricultural marketing and management of agro products. Co-operatives which absorb rural managers include oil seeds cooperatives, milk producers cooperatives, sugar cane producers cooperatives etc. Highly talented people can find lucrative job options in UN and its specialised agencies or programmes run by them. International NGOs are also a preferred destination for many rural managers.

You can pursue Ph.D. after MBA. After completing your Masters with minimum 55% marks. You need to qualify a test such as GATE/CSIR-NET/ JEST and TIFR /NEST /SLET, etc. If you qualify written, then you'll be called for interview. In some university, you'll be required to undergo their separate written test and interview. Ph.D. is offered in two modes: Part Time and Full Time. Part Time: A candidate has to attend classes on weekends. Full Time: A candidate has to attend regular classes (56 days a week). You can, but only if one is a regular course and the other is through distance education. The best universities are:

It depends on your interest. If you love to crunch numbers then you shall opt for finance. If you have an extrovert personality and get along with strangers easily then you can option marketing. If you love to manage and motivate human resources then you can go HR and so on.

Eligible for MBA you need to have a graduation degree in any field or background. That's the minimum eligibility criteria. Then it also varies according to the different exams. You can appear for various exams like SNAP MH-CET, XAT NPAT MAT CMAT CAT to get admission in a suitable college. I hope this helps. Please write of further queries.

To do MBA, you must have 50% marks in graduation (any stream). Apart from this, you need to clear any national level entrance exam such as CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ LPUNEST/ NMAT/ CMAT/ GMAT. After qualifying written exam you have to go through GD or PI. Many colleges offer this course in India with different specializations. You can choose any specialization as per your interest.
