Yes, Calcutta University offers over ten specialisations in BTech courses, for admission to all specialisations, the university accepts the WBJEE entrance examination except for BTech in Jute and Fibre Technology: For admission into the second year of BTech course
in Jute and Fibre Technology, the candidates should qualify JELET for lateral entry and should have any one of the following degrees: BSc with Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics, BSc in Textile and Clothing/ B.FAD or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ etc.

No, candidates are not allowed to get direct admissions to BTech courses at University of Calcutta. Students must pass the state-level entrance test, WBJEE, with a valid score in order to be admitted to Calcutta University's BTech program. Additionally, the candidate must fulfill the minimal requirements for eligibility, which include passing class 12 with a 50% cumulative grade. Students who qualify can complete the online form at caluniv.ac.in. Based on their entrance exam results, the university creates a shortlist of candidates and assigns seats.

The list of the documents candidates are required to attach the soft copy while filling out the online application form for admission to MBA at Calcutta University is as follows:
- Class 10 and 12 Marksheet
- Proof of Age (Class 10 Admit Card/Certificate).
- Aadhaar Card.
- Certificate of SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD if applicable.
