Calcutta University does not mention whether candidates need mathematics as a mandatory subject in Class 12th to be eligible for BSc. Candidates should contact admission desk to confirm requirement of Mathematics of BSc eligibility criteria.

Calcutta University BA admissions do not restrict candidates based on their choice of subjects in Class 12th.

However, English is generally a mandatory subject in exams conducted by most boards. Thus, it is advised that candidates confirm this by contacting admission desk.

Calcutta University does not mention an offline mode of application for BA admissions or entrance exam registraton.

Candidates should ask admission desk for confirmation of application modes available for Calcutta University admission. Since this institute has only mentioned an online mode, it is possible that offline admissions are not possible.

Calcutta University follows reservation policies of West Bengal government for BA admissions. This policy requires institutes to reserve 55% of their total intake for reserved categories including SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PWD. However, candidates of these categories only get reservation benefits if they have West Bengal domicile.

No, Calcutta University does not take direct admission in BA courses from any candidate. Admissions to all BA courses are offered based on Calcutta University entrance exam scores. 

However, if any seats are left vacant after allottment, candidates might get admission directly based on Class 12 board exam scores.
