International students are required to apply as early as possible for the Camosun College courses because international applicants are also required to apply for the study permit, which takes up to 3 months and some of the courses have limited seats. The application deadline for the entry of 2025 -2026 is as follows:

International students can apply for co-op work permit if:

  • Students have a valid permit,
  • Work is required to complete the study programme in Canada,
  • Your co-op placement or internship totals 50% or less of your study program,
  • You have a letter from your school that confirms all students in your programme need to complete work placements to get the degree

There is no fee required to attain a co-op work permit. Documents required for the co-op work placement are a letter of acceptance, a letter of enrollment, a co-op letter, a valid passport, biometrics, or any other document that the portal asks.

At the time of co-op placement, Camosun College students are required to complete at least two work terms (minimum 420 hours each) to graduate with 'co-op' designation. No, Camosun College does not have student residences, on-campus housing or dormitories. Majorly students live in condo, rented apartment, basement suite, or room in a shared house.
