Hi Apurv Jain,
The best universities include University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, University of Alberta, McGill University, Ryerson University, Simon Fraser University and so on. Your son must check the university websites and go through the admission requirements carefully . GRE may not be required for all. Gaining admissions into a MS program in Canada is highly competitive. His SOP, LORs, project work etc will be very crucial during this time.

Hi Waseem,
There is no MCA in Canada. You will find MCA only in India. You will of course find MS in Applied Computing, etc. but I am afraid after a B.Com, if you will be eligible or not. Canadian universities are strict and the education background has to relevant. Secondly 55% is very low for Canada. Also you have a three year degree which will further complicate things. You can check for PG Diploma courses in applied computing etc and speak with the universities and colleges before applying. Check out SPP colleges like Humber, Langara, Algonquin etc.

Hi Karandeep,
The answer to your question will depend on your career plans. First, ask yourself why you want to study and that too after an MBA? This is the same question universities and visa officers will ask you and only you will be able to answer it properly. Even if you do a MS in Finance or Marketing it will lead you to a research oriented career. If you are interested to research you can opt for a MS however you can also work as a researcher or academician after an MBA. You seriously don't have to take another degree. You should consider getting a job first and try to find out your own career motives. Also its not about what you

Hi Yeshwanth,
Your percentage, etc. is good but you don't have work experience which is the biggest disadvantage if you want to apply for MBA in Canada now. In fact, all MBA programs abroad requires atleast 2 years of work experience. Without work experience you must either be n exceptional candidate or you will get only tier 2 or tier 3 colleges. You can go through this link to have an idea:

Hello Rishab,
Where there is a will, there is a way. Even if you have scored 55% marks in your engineering, it's not the end. There are many other criteria also. But I suggest that you contact a specialist agency dealing with sending students abroad since they are aware of the different nuances in the whole procedure.

Hi Harpinder,
Colleges under SPP are good ones. By applying to an SPP college, you are also eligible for a 2-3 year work permit. But visa applications are very strictly evaluated and rejection rates are high but if you have a good profile, you need not worry too much.

Hi Rishi,
There is no lateral entry system in MBA abroad. Basically, as of now, you are not eligible because you don't have work experience. All major MBA abroad programs require work experience unlike in India. You may check MS Management programs not requiring work experience but again entering into the 2nd year will depend on whether or not you have met the admission policies and credits of the desired university.
