BSc in Cardiology typically revolves around the study of the heart, its functions, diseases, diagnostics, and treatments. BSc in Cardiology may cover a broad spectrum of cardiology-related subjects, including anatomy and physiology of the heart, cardiovascular diseases, diagnostic techniques, and treatment modalities.

BSc in Cardiovascular Technology specifically focuses on the technological aspects of diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases. BSc in C

Becoming a cardiac surgeon requires a lot more effort in comparison with a BSc in cardiology. In India to become a cardiac surgeon generally needs to complete an MBBS in Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery followed by a postgraduate degree like master of Surgery or master of charge in cardiothoracic surgery. A B.Sc in cardiology can be a good starting point but it is important to pursue further medical education and training to become a qualified cardiac surgeon. After completing your MBBS you have to clear the NEET PG exam to secure a seat in the postgraduate program.

Yes, with a DM in Cardiology, one acquires skill in the performance of procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, and PTMCs. All these interventions involve introducing wires through the wrist or thigh up to the heart—very specialized skills that not all cardiologists possess.
After DM, most cardiologists seek fellowships or FNB in Interventional Cardiology to learn and master these techniques.
Further, to specialize as a Cardiac Surgeon, one needs an MS/DNB in General Surgery followed by an MCh/DNB in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
