Both civil engineering and architecture have comparable scope. They are both very vast fields of study and career options available after each are huge. If you would like to choose between civil engineering and architecture, you would have to ask yourself which course you would prefer studying as each course takes up a sizable chunk of your time (4 years for Engineering and 5 years for architecture). You should ask yourself which course you feel comfortable with and where your interests lie, and then decide to pursue that particular course.
