At present, most of the universities/institutes do not offer courses in genetic engineering as a separate discipline, but as a subsidiary to biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry streams. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Biotechnology offer specialisation in genetic engineering. After Plus Two, you can gain admission for B.Tech. in Genetic Engineering/Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering through an entrance test. To get admission into bachelor's degree in Forensic Science, a student must pass 10+2 in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) from any recognized board with minimum 55%.
After graduation, one may go for diploma courses in Forensic Science & Criminology which is of 1 year duration.
