Hello Aakash,
These days, most of the colleges offer guarantee of 100% placement, but what matters is the quality of job.
Either you get a package of INR 2 lakhs or INR 20 lakhs, in both the cases you will be called as placed. But, what matters is will it be worth.
So, don't go for such 'guaranteed placement trap'.
Also, with 85% marks, you will be able to crack decent colleges.
And, the job you will get from there will totally depend upon your intelligence, understanding of the subject, etc.

Dear Anubhav,
CAT is not all just about theoretical concepts. In fact, it is all about your analytical, reasoning and broadly mathematical skills. I think you must have a look at some past CAT exam question papers to understand what I am trying to say. You are saying that you are good in theory (that's good but not enough) try to improve your maths question solving ability. Your comprehensive and responsive approach should be efficient enough to crack CAT (or any management entrance exam) with good marks.

Good luck.

There is definitely a chance. If you perform well in CAT, you can get admission in IIMs. For this, you need to score above 97 percentile in CAT exam.

For CAT you will be having 100 questions and 170 minutes. So generally you have to score 90% for normal universities.
For IIM you have to score upto 97%.
Start preparing for your CAT exam from now.
All the best, good luck.
