CAT and XAT are similar pattern examinations. There may be minor differences in toughness level and speed to answer in both exams from year to year.

It is difficult to say anything about the minimum cut off. Every year, the minimum cut off changes. It ranges from as low as 60-70 percentile to higher percentile of 80. So let's see what they decide this year.

You will have to prepare for numbers to logical reasoning. You cannot skip anything. You will have to learn everything to crack quants.

CAT is meant for business courses. You are supposed to take other exam to secure a seat at NIFT.

You are eligible to appear for MBA. If you did not have a maths background, you may face challenges in getting a good percentile. It is recommended that you take CAT coaching to increase your chances to crack CAT.

You can apply for CAT. Since, you know that you are weak in English, you are probably going to score poor in CAT. So, rather than planning just to go for MBA like everyone else. Why don't you work on improving your English?

Yeah, admissions for CMAT are still going on. The deadline is December 10th, 2016. A good score in CMAT can get you through top B-schools in India.

The cutoff percentile for diff exams is different every year and changes every time according to the exam. There is no fixed cutoff. Last year cutoff for CAT- 86 percentile , XAT - 78percentile and CMAT - 96 percentile.
